Canoeist body found in Jubilee Lake
The body of a 51-year-old man has been found after authorities say he went missing Sunday while canoeing on Jubilee Lake in the Umatilla National Forest.
The Union County Sheriff's Office says the body of Jeffery Anspach of Walla Walla was found around 7:30 a.m. in about 25 feet of water.
Anspach was canoeing Sunday with a family friend when his canoe tipped over. The woman, who was canoeing with Anspach, made it to shore, however, Anspach did not.
His body was located with the use of side sonar equipment brought in by the Klamath County Sheriff's Office.
His death is considered to be accidental.
