Walla Walla Storage Building Destroyed by Fire
A large storage building in Walla Walla goes up in flames yesterday.
It happened around 3:30PM on Woodland Avenue.
Due to dangerously low hanging power lines and a partially burned power pole, crews waited for power to be turned off to the area before they could work on the fire.
It took them about 2 and a half hours before they cleared the scene.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but it appears to have started in the area where the power lines enter the building.
There were no injuries.
The building was a total loss. Damage is estimated at $10,000.
