The Kennewick Fire Department honors three Les Schwab employees today for helping to save a woman's life last December.

Firefighters gave an award of Excellence for Heroism to Miguel Guillen, Jeff Lizama and Steven Magana this morning.

On December 12th, the three employees noticed a woman was trapped underneath a pickup truck on Clearwater Avenue.

They ran out of the store, stopped the driver, and with the the help of some employees from Clearwater Collision and Towing, they lifted the vehicle and pulled the woman out to safety.

"My thought was to get her out of there as fast as I could. She was in pain and I didn't want her to suffer anymore. So I just proceeded to do what I had to do" said Guillen.

"No hesitation, no second thought, I've got to help this woman?" we asked.

"Yes. I had to help her" said Guillen.

Guillen says he would do it again in a flash if he noticed somebody else in distress.

Firefighters say the quick actions of these employees "certainly" saved the woman's life.
