Richland Hires new City Attorney

The city of Richland hires a new city attorney. Below is the official release from the city:

The City of Richland has chosen Heather Kintzley as its new City Attorney. Heather graduated from Gonzaga University of Law, Summa Cum Laude in May 2000, ranking second out of 186 students. She was admitted to the Washington State Bar Association in 2004 and worked as the Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Benton County for three years. For the next six years she worked for the City of Kennewick, first as an Assistant City Attorney II and then as the Human Resources Director.

“The variety of Heather’s experience and the vast breadth of her accomplishments helped cement the decision to hire her,” said City Manager Cindy Johnson.

Heather, who replaces retiring City Attorney Tom Lampson, a 29 year veteran of the City, says, “I am excited for this opportunity to serve the City of Richland, and I really appreciate the warm welcome I've received from City staff.  Everyone has been supportive and encouraging, which is wonderful during times of transition.”

Heather begins with the City at the end of this month.
