Hundreds of students participate in engineering contest in Kennewick
Hundreds of high school students put their engineering skills to the test during a friendly competition today.
This morning, more than 300 students from across the Mid-Columbia filled Kennewick High School's gym for an engineering contest.
The students were given some office supplies to create a device that could launch a ping pong ball into some wooden pins.
The goal was to knock down as many pins as possible.
The students only had an hour to create and test their devices.
Students had no idea what they would be creating until they arrived at the competition this morning.
This is the 10th year organizers have held the event.
