Teen stabbed while playing basketball at Kennewick park
A teenage boy from Kennewick suffers multiple wounds after being chased down and stabbed Saturday night at Eastgate Park in Kennewick.
Police say the 16-year-old boy arrived at Kennewick General Hospital around 5:30 p.m. Saturday with several stab wounds.
The victim claims he was playing basketball at the park when he was approched by two boys he did not know.
The boys allegedly chased him down and stabbed him several times.
Police say his injuries are not life-threatening and that no one else is believed to have been injured in the assault.
The victim is a known gang member and at this time, police believe the incident is gang related.
