New Pavilion and Playground for Franklin Park
Construction on a two new attractions at Franklin Park in Yakima begins today.
The Sunrise Rotary Club held a special groundbreaking ceremony for a pavilion that will be built at the center of the park.
The pavilion will be used to host summer concerts and events.
Next to it, the Downtown Rotary is building a new playground to replace the old one that was torn down last year.
Construction is expected to take about 2 months.
