Dr. Keith Moo-Young named new WSU Tri-Cities chancellor
A dean at California State University, Los Angeles is chosen to be the next leader of Washington State University Tri-Cities.
Dr. Keith Moo-Young was named the new chancellor of the Richland campus today.
He visited the school last month so students and faculty members could get to know him.
Dr. Moo-Young has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, and a master's and Ph.D. in civil and environmental management.
When we spoke with him last month, he said if he got the job, one of his top priorities would be to increase student success through campus involvement.
"I have definitely the energy and the skill set from my previous experiences that I feel I really would assist in not only defining the vision, but building the local community engagement and partnership to really build a 21st century workforce for this region, the state of Washington, and for the United State" said Dr. Moo-Young.
Dr. Moo-Young will start his new job June 1st.
He will receive an annual salary of $300,000.
