Pasco mail facility to consolidate with Spokane
It may soon take Tri-Cities residents longer to receive their mail, after the U.S. Postal Service announces it is consolidating Pasco's mail handling facility.
A spokesperson for the U.S.P.S. says the facility will consolidate with Spokane's mail handling facility by the end of the year.
That means all mail for the Tri-Cities will be processed in Spokane, even if it is originally from the Tri-Cities.
About 50 people work at Pasco's facility.
Some of them will lose their jobs as a result of the consolidation.
