The trial of a man accused of shooting another man to death in Kennewick in March is delayed more than two months today, and his attorney says she does not anticipate the new trial date to be firm.

Grant Scantling waived his right to a speedy trial this morning.

He is accused of killing 24 year-old Franklin Palmer at a duplex on East 8th Place.

Scantling's trial is now scheduled to start July 22nd.

He will be back in court next month.
