Teenage boy injured in early morning shooting in Yakima
A teenage boy undergoes surgery early Sunday morning after being shot in the stomach while leaving a residence in Yakima.
Police say the 16-year-old was shot shorttly after 3 a.m. while leaving a residence on the 1200 block of East Mead Avenue where a fight took place.
Officers found the victim conscious and alert near 1st Street and Nob Hill.
He underwent surgery at a local hospital and is recovering from his injury.
