Richland Public Library Temporarily Closing for System Upgrades

The Richland Public Library is switching to a new Integrated Library System called Evergreen and will be closed May 6th through the 9th.

Evergreen is open-source quality library software to help library users find materials and to help libraries manage, catalog, and circulate those materials. This open source software is part of a community of libraries where each develops applications and enhancements, then shares those with other libraries in the open source community.

Library users will notice a different look to the catalog and will be able to manage their accounts easier and have more options available to them.

Staff will be training on this new system over the next few weeks and will be migrating all the current data from Sirsi into Evergreen while the library is closed. During these closed days, the catalog, Overdrive and Freegal will be unavailable, but the website, Zinio and databases will still be accessible from home.
