Walla Walla Man Killed in Two Vehicle Collision near Pendleton

A Walla Walla man is dead after making a u-turn in front of a full-size pickup this morning near Pendleton.

Oregon State Police Troopers say 77-year-old Vincent Torrier was northbound on Highway 11 when he turned in front of a Ford F-350 driven by 55-year-old Debora Alder of Hermiston.

Alder collided with Torrier's Toyota Corolla just before 9 a.m. trapping him inside.  Torrier was airlifted to a hospital in Walla Walla were he was pronounced deceased.

Three passengers riding in Alder's pickup truck either minor or no injuries.

Troopers investigating the crash do not believe at this time that intoxicants were a factor.
