RPD warns residents about fraudulent forms
The Richland Police Department is warning residents to be on the lookout for fraudulent code enforcement nuisance forms.
Officers say they have received information from citizens in the area of Gage Blvd/Sky Meadow/Anna/Falcon Ridge that an unknown person has been mailing fraudulent RPD Code Enforcement Nuisance Forms to residents citing to correct a nuisance - Barking Dogs.
Police say these forms are not signed by the police department's Code Enforcement Officers and are being mailed in a non-City of Richland envelope without a return address.
The department has also been notified by one victim who says a fraudulent notice claiming to be from Animal Control was also mailed.
Officers say the individual or individuals responsible for this are committing a felony.
