Snow at Bickleton High School

A freak snow storm shuts down school and leaves residents without power in the community of Bickleton.

Bickleton School Superintendent Ric Palmer says within a 10 mile radius of the school, areas received 5 to 6 inches of snow, while others experienced up to 10 to 12 inches.

Palmer says despite cancelling school today, classes are expected to resume tomorrow.

The heavy, wet snow, also knocked down several trees which knocked out power to the area.

Your Local ABC has a crew headed to Bickleton and we'll have more on this developing story tonight at 5 & 6:30.
