Walla Walla students record music for new babies
New babies born at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla will be welcomed into the world with music, thanks to a group of middle school students.
Six percussion students at Garrison Middle School recorded Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star at the hospital yesterday.
Last year, hospital employees challenged the students to come up with a short piece of music to be played in the hospital every time a baby is born.
There is a button at the nurse's station that will play the song each time there is a new baby.
If twins are born, the nurse will push the button twice.
