Police Arrest Transient for Breaking into Elementary School

Hermiston police arrest a local transient earlier this morning after he allegedly breaks into a local elementary school.

Police responded to Rocky Heights Elementary School around 3:30 a.m. after an alarm was trippped.

They found 18-year-old Alexandro Magana hiding in a cabinet -- Police believe Magana got into the building through an open window.

Officers say Magana had computer equipment on him that belonged to the school.

He was booked into Umatilla County jail on burglary and theft charges.
