Building of New Pasco Elementary School Expected to Stay on Schedule
The Pasco School District said it doesn't anticipate any delays on building its new elementary school after a wind storm tears down parts of the structure on Saturday.
Winds nearing 60 mph took down the front part of the frame at the yet to be named new school on Rd. 52 just off Santa Cruz Ln. in Pasco.
The frame of the roof came crumbling down and metal beams remain bent. Some are broken.
Elementary #13 is expected open in September.
Fowler Construction, the lead contractor, met with the school district and the district said construction will remain on schedule.
Fowler Construction is in the process of assessing the damage and meeting with the proper agencies as it moves forward in building the new school.
