"We Scare Because We Care."
If you're looking for a frightening experience, you may want to consider the Madd Hatter Haunted House in Yakima.
This year's theme is the Black Death, and will be hosted at the old warehouse on East Lincoln Avenue.
Over 350 students and adults are volunteering their time to dress up as characters and stagehands to help put the haunt together.
All proceeds made from the public will go to the volunteers, who have each selected a specific club or charity the money will go to.
Haunted house owner Barbara Petrea says it's a great way for people to have fun, while knowing their money is going back into the community.
"We have come from such an amazingly giving community, and it's nice to be able to give back to them," said Petrea, "All of the baseball teams, the FFA, the Pegasus Project, the drill teams and the bands, all of them come together to make up the eclectic group of clubs and charities that we have."
The haunted house is scheduled to open up this Friday and will run from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., and even later as we head closer to Halloween.
Tickets are $10.
