Kennewick police arrest 2 men suspected of stealing marijuana
Kennewick police arrest two men suspected of breaking into another man's home and stealing his medical marijuana.
Officers say the incident took place on Monday October 7th, around 9:30 PM at a home on the 3800 block of West 21st Avenue.
Police say two men wearing masks pushed their way into the home - one man was armed with a handgun and the other had a baseball bat.
Officers say one suspect took a large duffel bag that contained medical marijuana while the victim, 23-year-old Paul McDowell struggled with the second suspect.
Police say both suspects were able to leave the home with the stolen marijuana.
McDowell reported the incident to the Kennewick Police Department on Thursday, October 10th, and detectives with the Criminal Apprehension Team conducted an investigation.
Detectives were able to identify the two suspects as 23-year-old Luke Loftus and 29-year-old Christopher Meyer, both of Kennewick.
Loftus was located a local motel on Friday night, and was arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail on suspicion of first degree robbery and first degree burglary.
Meyer was arrested on Saturday night, and booked into the Benton County Jail on six outstanding arrest warrants and suspicion of first degree robbery and first degree burglary.
