Public meeting tonight about safety improvements to Clearwater Ave.
The City of Kennewick is trying to make Clearwater Avenue safer for drivers and pedestrians, and city employees want to hear from you on how to make that happen.
City employees say the Clearwater Corridor - which stretches for more than five miles from Highway 395 to Leslie Road - has numerous safety issues.
The city has received a federal grant to make improvements to the area.
Overall, city leaders want to reduce congestion, provide safer access to businesses, and improve pedestrian walkways, among other things.
The city is holding a public meeting tonight at Kamiakin High School to discuss the project.
The meeting runs from 6 - 8 PM in the school's library.
