A Zillah family is mourning after their adopted son is killed in an ATV accident in Zillah yesterday afternoon.

Washington State Troopers say it happened just after 4 p.m. on Lucy Lane.

15 year Ezekiel Bowman was riding on an ATV, when he rear ended a tractor at high speed.

He was taken to Memorial Hospital, where he died from his his injuries about an hour later.

"Zeke" was adopted by his family after he was found on the streets as a child in China, he spent the last few years of his life with the family, being home schooled, and learning American culture.

One neighbor says she knows the family, and heard the crash from outside her home.

"My son says 'there's been an accident over there,' so we looked and we stayed here and pretty soon the ambulance came," said Consuelo Rivera, "I feel bad for them, no family should go through this, it's bad. Being a mother, I feel really bad and I don't know, I hope nothing else happens again."

The ATV was totalled, and the driver of the second vehicle was not seriously harmed.

Troopers say intoxicants did not play a factor in the crash, and no charges will be filed.
