Hermiston man sentenced to 20 years in wife's death
A Hermiston man who killed his wife three years ago has pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter and been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
48-year-old Maurilio Lamas Sanchez accepted a plea deal after initially facing a murder charge.
Sanchez has been in jail since his wife, Hilaria Sanchez, was found dead in their mobile home in October 2010.
The couple had been married for about 20 years and had seven children.
