A Hermiston woman is arrested for allegedly leaving a clothing store yesterday morning with items she didn't pay for.

Officers say 33-year-old Audrey Harshman is suspected of leaving the Maurices clothing store just after 10 a.m.  Store employees were able to provide the license plate of the white Nissan Versa that Harshman left in.

The vehicle was later spotted and Harshman and her passenger, 27-year-old James Riley were taken into custody.

A second officer responded to Maurices and took statements about what transpired.  Ultimately, Harshman was placed under arrest and charged with Theft in the Second Degree, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Less than an Ounce of Marijuana before being lodged at the Umatilla County Jail in Pendleton.  Riley was arrested on a parole/probation detainer warrant and also lodged at the Umatilla County Jail.
