Today is Halloween and there are several free and safe alternatives to the traditional neighborhood trick-or-treating.
3-5 PM : Historic Downtown Trick or Treat. Miss Tri-Cities will be on hand to hand out candy as well as help with the annual drawing for kids gift basket donated by local area merchants and 2 wagons.
4-7 PM : Safe Treat Street 2013, Columbia Park. Food booths, bouncy houses, on-stage entertainment and trick or treating.
6-7:30 PM : Eastgate Elementary Treat 'n Trunk, Eastgate Elementary Parking Lot, 910 East 10th Ave. Costume wearing, game playing and trick-or-treating from decorated car trunks. A bouncy house will also be on site.
3-5 PM : Halloween in the Uptown Shopping Center - Celebrate Halloween by trick or treating in a safe, friendly environment.
3-6 PM : Halloween Safety and Fun Community Event, Richland Police Station. Event promotes Halloween, along with child and personal safety. Patrol car on display, flyers and coloring books, candy too.
4-7 PM : DARE Halloween Spaghetti Fundraiser, Walla Walla Elks Lodge, 351 E. Rose, $5 each or $20 for a family of 6. To go orders for $5 each.
5:30-7 PM : WA-HI Trunk or Treat, Walla Walla High School Science Parking Lot, Admission is canned food for donation to the Christian Aid Center Food Bank.
5-8 PM : Night of Fright 2013, Wapato Community Center includes trunk or treat, Haunted Hayride and Haunted House (ages 13 and up).
6-8 PM : Calvary Faith Walk Community Trunk or Treat, 1800 Bombing Range Road. Candy, carnival games and prizes, face painting and more. Entry is free but they are accepting non-pershible items to help stock local food banks.
6 PM : Terror on the Avenue, 316 East Yakima Avenue, features a haunted attraction at the old Nordstrom building. Tickets $10.
6 PM : Madd Hatters Haunt, 1015 East Lincoln Avenue. Tickets $10, all proceeds go towards local charities and organizations.
