Fire Danger Rating in Benton County

Burn Ban

The Benton County Fire District #1 has released this week's fire danger rating as High.

Lt. Aaron Biebe says the latest data confirms the wet thunderstorms over the past week have decreased the rating from ‘Very High’ to the ‘High’ Category.

However he also says with the high temperatures in the area the past several days and fuels are drying out, fires could still readily ignite, spread quickly, and potently be difficult to control.

A very warm and dry forecast is on tap for the coming week, with low-mid 90’s in the next several days. That's about 10-15 degrees above normal for this time of year.

There is still NO residential burning permitted except recreational and warming fires.

Approved AG burning is still allowed at this time.
