More Oregon students not meeting state testing standards
More students in Oregon are not meeting state testing standards according to the Oregon Department of Education.
Deputy Superintendent of Public Instruction Rob Saxton, released the statewide test results for reading, writing, math and science for the 2012 - 2013 school year.
The percentage of students meeting state standards dropped in all categories except in high school reading and math.
Saxton says, "test results and percent met should never be our end goal. That end goal needs to be student learning - and ultimately students graduating high school college and career ready".
