Pre-trial hearing for McCorkindale delayed two weeks
A pre-trial hearing for a man accused of killing a Prosser man in June over a drug deal gone bad is pushed back two weeks today.
Robert McCorkindale appeared in Benton County Superior Court this morning for an omnibus hearing.
Attorneys say they are not prepared for the hearing yet, because they are still waiting for lab results from the state crime lab.
McCorkindale is charged with first degree murder in the death of 22-year-old Preston Yahne.
According to court documents, McCorkindale admitted to investigators that he stabbed Yahne, ran over him with a car, then set the car on fire.
McCorkindale's trial is still scheduled to start on October 14th.
He is expected to be back in court on October 2nd.
