Cassidy Almquist Returns to Seattle for Physical Therapy
We are followng the story of a Kennewick girl who fell 50 feet from a swing in July that left her paralyzed from the waist down.
18-year-old Cassidy Almquist returned to Harbor View Medical Center in Seattle last week to begin physical therapy on her arms and parts of her lower body that have movement.
She is working on building strengh in her upper body so she can transfer herself to chairs and beds.
Cassidy's father Mark Almquist says it's along road ahead but her progress encourages the family everyday.
Value village on Clearwater Blvd. is holding a funraiser for Cassidy.
For the next two weeks, the store will donate 12 cents for every pound of donations to the Almquist family.
Cassidy sends her love to the Tri-Cities.
