UPDATE: Woman Killed by Train
The Franklin County Coroner's Office says a Mesa woman was in fact alive right before being struck by a train.
35-year-old Tonya Wright was on the railroad tracks about half a mile south of mesa when she was hit by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe Train early Saturday morning.
An autopsy completed yesterday shows the cause of death was blunt force trauma to her head and body.
The sheriff's office is looking into why wright did not move when the conductor laid on the horn.
A toxicology report was completed and those results will come back in 8-10 weeks.
Video surveillance from the front of the train will also be reviewed.
