Teachers Build Ukuleles

Teachers from around the state are students this week while they learned how to build ukuleles.

As part of a STEM professional development workshop teachers are learning the math and physics behind why ukuleles sound the way they do.

John Moen came from Bothell to attend the workshop.

He teaches art and drama and said after this workshop he would love to bring this back to the students at his school.

"I work very closely with my shop teacher so I'm thinking I'd like to start a ukulele class because I'm a ukulele player so where were teaching how to play as well as a program where we can teach students how to make them," said Moen.

This is just day three of a five day workshop.
