Former Connell Police Chief Reaches Deal With City
Former Connell police chief Michael Kessler, who was accused of sexual harassment and fired for looking at pornography on his work phone has reached a deal with the city.
The city will reverse his termination, pay him a severance package and clear him of sexual harassment allegations.
The agreement allows Kessler to resign and receive four months salary and he will be paid for accrued vacation and sick leave.
In exchange Kessler agrees not to sue the city.
The agreement says there is not enough evidence to prove kessler sexually harassed two women and a sexually suggestive comment he allegedly made to a third women did not meet the states criteria for sexual harassment.
