Three Arrested in Kennewick Suspected of Burglary and Possession of Stolen Property

Press Release from the Kennewick Police Department:

On 07/04/14 during the evening hours an apartment was burglarized in the 1100 block of W. 10TH Ave. During the burglary the suspect(s) rummaged through the apartment and took an undisclosed amount of property.

The burglary victim developed suspect information believing it was a family member who broke in to the apartment and took his property. The victim began making accusations against this family member which led to this family member, and two other males coming to the victim’s apartment to confront him.

On 07/05/14 around 0730 hrs the victim alleges 3 male suspects confronted him at his apartment.

The victim alleges his step brother, David Smith and Jose Navarro entered his apartment while a third male suspect waited outside. During the confrontation a fight ensued and the victim sustained injuries to his face to include a broken jaw.

On 07/05/14 around  1930 hrs detectives with KPD Criminal Apprehension Team were conducting surveillance in the 1100 block of W. 10TH Ave and observed one of the suspects enter an apartment. CAT Detectives developed information that all 3 suspects were inside this apartment. Detectives and KPD patrol officers attempted to call the suspects out but they wouldn’t come outside. 

A search warrant was obtained for the apartment and officers with Richland Police Dept. and Benton County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist. Prior to a SWAT Team being activated the suspects came outside and gave up. 

Kennewick Police located the property stolen from the earlier burglary inside the suspect’s apartment. 

David L. Smith, 23, was booked into Benton County Jail for Burglary 1st and Possession Stolen Property 2nd.

Jose A. Navaro, 27, was booked into Benton County Jail for Burglary 1st, Possession Stolen Property 2nd and 5 arrest warrants.

Allam F. Galindo, 24, was booked into Benton County Jail for Burglary 1st, Possession Stolen Property 2nd and an arrest warrant for Robbery 1st.
