Astronomy LIGO-Style/Astronomía al Estilo "LIGO"

LIGO Hanford Observatory will host Astronomía al Estilo "LIGO" (Astronomy LIGO-Style) on November 7 from 1:30 to 4:00 PM. Families are invited to visit the LIGO Observatory to see what's new in astronomy -- the search for gravitational waves from outer space. The afternoon's program will offer films, Observatory tours, demonstrations and a number of hands-on activities for all ages. All activities will be conducted in Spanish and English. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.

Post Election Wrap Up & Campaign 2010 Kick Off

Bluegrass Concert with Gold Creek Station

Mid Columbia Traditional Arts and Music Association (MCTAMA) is proud to present in concert Gold Creek Station from Central WA. They will perform November 7th at 6:30 pm at Pasco First Christian Church 1524 W Marie, Pasco WA. Gold Creek Station plays traditional and contemporary Bluegrass with 3 and 4 part harmonies. GCS members are Jan Delfel on the bass, Ron Gilpin on banjo, Mike Sparks on mandolin, Gary Davenport on lead guitar and vocals, Dan Nall on vocals, and Jim Delfel on rhythm guitar and vocals. They have fun playing and singing together and that fun is contagious for their audiences. Come and enjoy Gold Creek Station as they bring you Bluegrass music from Central Washington. The Walla Walla Symphony Announces 103rd Birthday Gala on November 7

Celebrate the Walla Walla Symphony's 103rd birthday at its gala fund raising event on Saturday, November 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Marcus Whitman Hotel. The evening includes wine, hors d'oeuvres, dinner, dancing and live and silent auctions with items including a Holland America cruise, a trip and tickets to the 2010 Masters, vacation packages to New York City, Chicago and more, wine from Leonetti Cellars and Cayuse Vineyards, among others, tickets tot he Seattle Symphony, a chance to conduct the Walla Walla Symphony and much more. Dance to the music of the well-known and loves Gary Winston Band. All proceeds benefit the Walla Walla Symphony. Ticket price for the evening is $75 per person.
