| Court Appointed Special Advocate Training through Benton County Superior Court All children need safe, loving homes. Unfortunately, some children are abused and neglected by their own parents. When the court must intervene to help a child, someone should be there to be the child's voice in court and protect his or her future. YOU could be that person. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are ordinary people doing extraordinary work for abused and neglected children in our community. Make a powerful difference in the life of a child. Become a trained CASA volunteer! Contact Karen Kirk-Brockman or Tami Driver at 736-3071 ext. 26. Superior Court of the State of Washington for Benton and Franklin Counties, Kennewick WA |

| Savro the Flavor: A Culinary Experience Something special happens to the Tri-Cities in the fall, the culinary community is electrified by the next installation of Eastern Washington’s largest wine, food and culinary festival.
Now in its third year, Savor the Flavor: A Culinary Experience is a showcase of the Region’s premier wine, beer and spirit producers, chefs and culinary personalities, unique restaurants, cooking classes and kitchen/cooking-related products. Produced by TASTE Tri-Cities Magazine, the event benefits Oasis School, the small school for big minds in Richland, WA.
Held at the TRAC in Pasco, WA during the warm yet crisp autumn days of November, the festival is flanked by a backdrop of vines turning brilliant colors and breath-taking desert sunsets over the Columbia River shores which perfectly set the event’s tone. Just in time for the year’s most festive season with Thanksgiving cooking tips and a guest appearance by chef Santa Claus himself to inspire holiday cheer, Savor the Flavor: A Culinary Experience will be held November 13 & 14, 2009. TRAC, Pasco WA |

| "Frenzy for Two, or More" Harper Joy Theatre presents "Frenzy for Two, or More" by Eugene Ionesco. A revolution ensues on the streets while a couple wages their own battle at home. Is it too hot or too cold? The Venus de Milo or the Statue of Liberty? A tortoise or a snail? Classically absurd, this farce will disturb and delight. Freimann Stage. 8 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday; 2 p.m. Sunday. For tickets and information call 527-5180.
