Apple Valley Kiwanis Wine Country Trek
A Fun Ride From Moxee to Prosser and Back!
Always the last full weekend in September.
Save the dates of September 29th and 30th in 2012!

Imagine…vineyard after vineyard with every color of grape you can envision, red delicious apples just being picked off trees, hop fields, cherry orchards, scenic country roads, livestock and farms, nearly a dozen different wineries, gently rolling hills, and 120 miles of amazing sun-soaked fun. This is the setting for the two-day bike trek from Yakima to Prosser and back. This trek brings riders to wineries and produce stands throughout our region. Then riders arrive in Prosser just in time for a gourmet dinner and to participate in Prosser’s Hot Air Balloon Festival.

Sunday morning breakfast with the balloons in the sky, back on your bikes and head back thru wine country to Moxee for a BBQ after a day of wine tasting.

All proceeds go to Kiwanis community and youth services projects.

Registration includes our famous gourmet dinner on Saturday evening, the balloon glow, overnight camping (indoor and outdoor) in Prosser, Sunday morning breakfast, baggage transportation, and break stops.

This is a fully supported ride and the price is 135.00. Go to http://www.active.com/cycling/yakima-wa/apple-valleys-wine-country-trek--2012 to register for this event.
