Larson Gallery Guild hosts TERRAIN—A Survey, an exhibit featuring the work of renowned Native American printmaker, Joe Feddersen, a nationally recognized contemporary artist. The opening reception is September 14, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 pm in the Larson Gallery, 16th and Nob Hill.
TERRAIN implies ‘breadth’ and ‘landscape’ as Feddersen presents numerous prints, glass pieces and basketry that visually connect his Central Washington background with an urban vernacular. His work is part of numerous major permanent collections including the Whitney Museum of American Art; the National Museum of the American Indian, Smithsonian Institution; and the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art permanent collections.
The reception is followed by a free artist lecture at 7:00 pm in Kendall Hall, on the YVCC campus. The exhibit, artist lecture and free exhibition catalog are funded by Yakima Valley Community College Title V.
The exhibit continues through October 20. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 am– 5:00 pm and Saturday 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. For more information visit http://www.larsongallery.org or call (509) 574-4875.
