itch Night: fun, entrepreneurial-minded friends, networking, an awesome venue, & an opportunity to work on improving our elevator/escalator pitches.
“No matter what you sell or what stage your business is in, a strong pitch is a critical foundation for your success. Pitch right and you can sell anything to anyone. Pitch wrong, and you can have the best product in the world and you might not be able to make anyone care…"
Who: if you want to improve your elevator pitch, public speaking/selling skills or want to polish a pitch you plan to make at the upcoming Startup Weekend, then this event is for you. (If, on the other hand, you’re hoping to actually sell a product or promote your business, this is not the venue for you).
What: you’ll get some ideas and pointers from experienced speakers on pitch style, mechanics, delivery and content, get to try your pitch in front of fellow entrepreneurs, get constructive (and friendly) feedback, and get to try it again (if you want). There will also be some time to mingle and get to know some of the great people in the Tri-Cities entrepreneurial community (which is bigger, hipper and cooler than most people think).
Light refreshments sponsored by Clear Focus Law.
