The Richland Players are proud to announce the fourth show of its 69th season, the comedy Boeing Boeing, directed by Kristin Lerch.
Welcome aboard, Fasten Your Seat Belts, and prepare for take-off – it's Up, Up and Away with Laugh after Laugh.
With an exhilarating script by Marc Camoletti, Boeing Boeing tells the tale of Bernard, an American playboy in swinging '60s Paris who juggles three air hostess fiancés; one American, one German, and one Italian. With the help of airline timetables and a phenomenally efficient housekeeper, he convinces each that she is his only love. Just when Bernard's life seems to be reaching cruising altitude his life crosses into a zone of turbulence as his old friend Robert comes to stay. With weather delays and the invention of a faster Boeing jet, Bernard's elaborate love life descends into chaos.
The cast features Steve Montgomery as Bernard, and Sergio Bueno as his visiting friend Robert. MaryAnne Wuennecke, Jennifer Mallory, and Patty Cook are flying the friendly sky’s as the three air hostesses, and Joyce Bean is Berthe, the tireless housekeeper whose life just isn’t easy. Find out what happens when all three air hostesses are on a collision course arriving in town simultaneously, leaving timid Robert forgetting which lies to tell to whom. And Berthe has had enough of the rotating women, and menus to plan. Will Bernard be able to hold onto the ladies and his Paris lifestyle? Book your tickets early for this bumpy ride!
Boeing Boeing marks director Kristin Lerch's second of back-to-back staging of productions, having just finished to the highly successful and sold-out shows of Agatha Christie’s, The Mousetrap.
"Boeing Boeing is a must-see comedy for our regular audience," commented Michael Wutzke, Richland Players Producer. "This is also the perfect jumping-in-point for anyone who has not seen a Player's production. We have a dream-team of set designers and technicians working to make this production as visually exciting as the show is hilarious.”
The show begins performances on Friday, March 21st, 2014 with an 8 pm curtain. The show runs March 21, 22, 28, 29, April 4, 5, with Matinee performances on March 30 and April 6 at 2 pm. Boeing Boeing is sponsored by The Fox Vance Family Foundation.
Tickets are $12 regular admission, $10 for students, and senior citizens. The box office is open Tuesday through Friday noon–5 p.m. For reservations call (509) 943-1991 or online at www.richlandplayers.org
