Dr. Maher has expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic Upper Endoscopy (EGD), Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), as well as Capsule Endoscopy.

Columbia River GI’s Open-Access Colon Cancer Screening clinic provides patients with education and timely access.

Dr. Maher is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA)

Dr. Maher graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. in 1986. Dr. Maher then completed postgraduate and fellowship training at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California.

Dr. Maher served in the United States Navy at the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, the U.S. Naval Hospital in Okinawa, Japan and the Marine Corps Base at Camp Pendleton, California.
