KENNEWICK -- More than 50 people help get a Tri-Cities man's home in the holiday spirit this weekend.
Dave Parmeter was diagnosed last month with stage 4 esophageal cancer that had metastesized to the liver.
He had promised to decorate the house for Christmas for his wife Deb, but the cancer took too much of his energy.
That's when people showed up Saturday to mow, trim, set-up lights, and get the house in the holiday mood.
Parmeter is a longtime community supporter and rotary member.
He and his wife also own the Autobahn Car Wash.
His family said they are thankful by how many people came out to help.
There will be a tribute and fund raiser for Dave on Sunday, November 22nd.
It's at the Country Gentleman Restaurant in Kennewick.
Seating is limited and people are asked to RSVP by 11/19.
