Born and raised in Wenatchee, Washington. Lindsay graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in International Affairs. After graduation she worked in politics in Washington, D.C. and volunteered as an Anchor/Reporter at the Arlington Weekly News. After realizing that journalism was for her, she moved to New York City where she began work at CNN. During her time there she assisted with the coverage of the 2004 Presidential Elections, the Tsunami in Southeast Asia, the death of Yasser Arafat, the London Bombings and Hurricane Katrina.
She then worked on an animal news show for Animal Planet before deciding to report full-time in the Pacific Northwest.
