Josh joined the KVEW staff in August 2008. He is a proud graduate of San Jose State University where he studied film, television and journalism. While working on SJSU’s newscast, "Update News", Josh had the opportunity to anchor, report, film, produce, edit and write. These experiences gave him his first taste of television news and he quickly developed a passion for reporting.
Before moving to Washington from the Bay Area in California, Josh worked as a Production Assistant at NBC Bay Area in San Jose. There, he assisted reporters with their daily work and learned the intricacies of what it takes to put a newscast on the air. This job further developed his understanding about what the news business is all about, and made him love it even more.
The Tri-Cities is a big change of scenery for Josh, but he loves it here. Even though the sky-line views of the enormous Yahoo! and Google buildings have now been replaced with vast deserted fields, Josh is happy to call the Tri-Cities home. He is proud to be part of this great community full of amazing people, and loves working with the KVEW team. His favorite part of reporting is meeting new people every day and telling their stories.
When he's not hitting the streets on stories, Josh is hitting the drums. He has been playing percussion since he was 10 and loves to drum in his spare time. When living in California, he taught many award winning music groups and performed with the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps. He currently teaches several percussionists in the Tri-Cities.
