Eugene Buenaventura

Reporter

"I am excited to get to know the people of Central Washington and share their stories with the rest of the community."

Eugene is a Filipino from Vancouver, Washington, and a proud graduate of Washington State University.

Entering college, Eugene always knew he wanted a career working in the media. He found a passion for news after discovering how much creative freedom reporters had with their stories. During his college years, he produced and edited for a number of student-produced shows and spent a summer working with KXTG, a radio station that covered the Portland Trail Blazers, in Portland, Oregon.

Eugene is excited to be in the Yakima/Tri-Cities region, and is ready to face the challenges needed for him to becoe best he can be. When he isn't running around town reporting, Eugene enjoys competing in full-court basketball games, playing video games, and spending time with his family, eating home-made islander dishes.

If you have a great story idea for Eugene, or want to guess his height, feel free to email him at  EugeneB@kapptv.com
